One of the best ways to keep skin looking youthful is by giving it a gorgeous glow. As skin gets older, it becomes increasingly dull as a result of exposure to the sun, environmental pollution and biological ageing. Therefore by applying highlighter this can create the effect of brighter and younger-looking skin. With a variety of products available to give you a radiant look, here are a few of our WowHow favourites to make your skin look bright and glowy, without looking sweaty or like a disco ball!
The best place to start is with an illuminating primer. This will provide the perfect radiant finish, in the most important stage of your makeup, the prepping and priming of the skin. A good base leads to a great face! By putting an almond size amount of product on the face the primer can be worn under makeup, or alone for a more natural glow. Using an illuminating primer will help to blur the appearance of fine lines, and brighten the complexion. Makeup will then last longer and glide on the top, looking smoother and more flawless.
Here at WowHow there is nothing we love more than radiant skin, so we have put together a few of our top products to help you achieve the perfect glowy skin. We love the Clarins SOS Boost Radiance primer and Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter! For a more affordable look, try the No7 Lift and Luminate primer.
The SOS Boost Radiance is a great universal shade for all skin tones. This primer really helps to imitate light on the skin, doing just what it says on the tin, boosting radiance. A little goes a really long way with this product and even under makeup provides the skin with the most beautiful finish.
Available from Clarins, Boots and John Lewis for £27.
The Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter comes at a slightly higher price point but is such a versatile product. With multiple uses, it really is worth the money! This liquid product really does give a “filter” effect to the skin with a smoothing and airbrush effect. It helps to reduce the visibility of pores and brightens the skin underneath makeup, whilst giving a subtle glow when applied on top of a foundation.
Available from Charlotte Tilbury, House of Fraser and John Lewis for £34.
Finally, the No7 Lift and Luminate primer is a must-have from the high-street. This primer has been created alongside their existing skincare regimes to reduce the visibility of fine lines. The liquid formula follows a similar formation and primes the skin to ensure makeup doesn’t migrate into any wrinkles, creating flawless and youthful skin. The gold reflex ensure skin looks firmer, plumper and brighter giving the skin a healthy radiant finish! This primer can be worn underneath makeup, or on its own to provide a golden glow.
Available from Boots for £16.50.
